The BAR Philosophy
The philosophy at The BAR School of Athletic Performance is based on two principles of athleticism; power and quickness. The main objective with all of our athletes is to maximize power. In all sports, power is the key component to being a dominant athlete. With increases in power, speed and quickness are also improved. We call this first step quickness. In every sport the key to success is whether or not you can make the play or get to the ball. Do you have the initial, explosive quickness that it takes to perform? We believe that the ability to be powerful and quick will make all of our athletes more athletic and take their performance to the next level.
The BAR Programs
PSX
PSX is geared towards the advanced athlete looking to make significant gains in all aspects of his/her athletic ability and performance. Each PSX program begins with a consultation with the athlete and his/her parents to develop a customized nutrition and supplementation program. We will set goals to develop a clear game plan for training. PSX will help you reach your full potential, and whether you are hoping to earn a starting position, a college scholarship, or just gain an edge over your competition, this is the program for you.
Four workouts each week.
*Not all athletes will qualify for this program.
PS1
PS1 is geared towards younger athletes and in-season athletes with limited time. The focus of PS1 is on learning proper technique and maintenance of overall strength and first step quickness. This program is recommended for Middle School athletes and all in-season athletes.
Two workouts each week.
PS2
PS2 is geared towards athletes of all levels who are looking for a long term program with the goal of weight gain along with increases in power output and first step quickness. High School and Middle School athletes looking to take their game to the next level are ideal candidates for this program.
Three workouts each week.
AVS
AVS is for athletes who want to jump higher and develop first step quickness and speed on the field or court. It is primarily created for basketball and volleyball players, but all athletes are welcome. We will breakdown your techniques and help you develop into a superior jumper and faster player.
Four consecutive Saturdays.
